After years living in South-East Asia, this family of six engaged Luigi Rosselli Architecture to renovate their family home in Bellevue Hill, Sydney.
The architects addressed a major reconfiguration of the existing living/dining areas, which were cut off from the rest of the home and difficult to use. We deftly curated the new area with a rich and textural palette of materials, allowing everyday spaces to double as formal spaces for grown-up entertaining.
Being an active and busy household with four school-aged children, the home needed to be robust with a beautiful practicality. We used bold materials such as terrazzo in the bathrooms, steel-framed French doors and elegantly panelled ceilings to bring rich dimension to high-traffic rooms.
